CeBIT

SAP at CeBIT 2012

SAP teamed up with 32 partners at CeBIT 2012 to present solutions, technologies, and services for companies of all sizes. The innovation topics highlighted by SAP and its partners at this year's CeBIT included cloud computing, mobile solutions, business analytics, in-memory computing, and applications.

A showcase for diversity
SAP partners presented technology solutions for the SAP HANA platform in the SAP HANA showroom and exhibition area at the main SAP stand in Hall 4. SAP and its partners also demonstrated how large companies use analytics, mobile solutions, and cloud computing. Furthermore, SAP partners presented rapid-deployment solutions – these are business software solutions that customers can start using in 12 weeks or less. Rapid-deployment solutions from SAP – and equivalent partner solutions certified by SAP – are a preconfigured combination of software, predefined services, and out-of-the-box processes that can be implemented immediately for a fixed price. Mobile solutions from Sybase as well as integration and networking services for business partners from Crossgate were also on display at the SAP stand in Hall 4.

“Innovation, information, and one-on-one interviews: This year, once again, CeBIT proved an indispensable platform for us to showcase our portfolio and our ability to innovate,” says Michael Kleinemeier, president of the Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) region. “The most important information and telecommunications technology trade show in the DACH region saw us with a completely revamped presence this year. Our 3,500 square meters of floor space in Hall 4 offered new and exciting worlds of technology that brought SAP to life for customers, end users, and consumers.”

Face to face with innovation
At the SAP stand in Hall 5, SAP and its partners presented their comprehensive portfolio of solutions for small businesses and midsize companies. This portfolio includes SAP Business One, a solution that small businesses can use for all their key functions; the on-demand solution SAP Business ByDesign; and SAP Business All-in-One, an application designed for midsize companies with extensive industry-specific requirements. Business intelligence solutions from the SAP BusinessObjects portfolio together with SAP in-memory computing technology rounded out the offerings. The stand in Hall 5 was divided into two marketplaces. Partners exhibiting in the industry marketplace presented primarily industry-specific solutions for service providers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumer goods producers. The innovation marketplace provided SAP and its partners with a forum to showcase their solutions for cloud computing and business analytics as well as technology and in-memory computing for small businesses and midsize companies. “CeBIT is an indispensable platform for us and our partners to present innovative solutions and technologies to customers and prospects from all lines of business,” stresses Friedrich Neumeyer, member of the SAP Germany management team responsible for SMEs, on-demand, and the partner ecosystem.

“CeBIT is just as important for SAP as it ever was. Our expectations were surpassed this year and the response to the new SAP and our presence at the trade show was amazing: We received enthusiastic feedback from everyone who visited our stands, including customers, prospects, journalists, and politicians. It was our most successful CeBIT for years. Our discussions showed that customers regard us as innovative and trusted partners. (…) Our solutions for cloud computing, SAP HANA, analytics, mobility, and SAP Business Suite attracted a lot of interest. These solutions have great potential because they enable our customers to grow and prosper in a challenging market environment and to compete on a global stage,” adds Michael Kleinemeier.
